11-02-25 First Week
First week abroad, first post in four weeks. It's been both good and bad, but I think I'm heading in the right direction now.
Started off in Bangkok, still in Bangkok. Street food is yummy, everything is cheap, transport is easy and city is very walkable: getting 15k steps a day is a breeze. It's also very hot. In a world where everyone is already aware of these things, I struggle with how to make these posts unique. I'd like to have more intimate writing, but how much of myself I feel comfortable sharing online, I'm not sure. Even over my short time here I've found that travelling solo is a confronting and personal experience. How can I communicate that in a way that's worth reading, and in a way where I feel comfortable?
I still have lots of time left to figure this out (about 7-11 weeks), and since I've struggled to open up during this first week I haven't done anything worth writing about anyway.
Anyway, here's a cool picture a took. Improving my photography is one thing I aim to do during my stay here in South East Asia. Please ignore any spelling mistakes I'm making, doing all this on an iPhone while away is difficult!
